Celotex GA4000 is a general-purpose insulation board designed for application on floors, walls, and roofs allowing for a wide range of  thermal insulation solutions. These boards are ideal for flat as well as pitched roofs, concrete slab ground floors, and external wall linings and sheathings. This Celotex PIR board has a low emissivity foil face to improve thermal performance and optimise space in construction especially when designing and building cavity spaces. These Celotex insulation boards are known for achieving U-values with minimal thickness.

Effective in reducing heating and cooling costs, these boards have also been ranked high amongst some of the best green insulation options for contributing absolutely zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and for a low global warming potential. Both the blowing agent mix and the solid polyisocyanurate (PIR) used to manufacture this Celotex product, amongst many others, are environmentally friendly.

Showcasing high tensile strength, these boards last for years with least maintenance. Celotex GA4000 insulation boards do not catch fire easily and have a class 1 fire rating. They do not break easily and are apt for tough usage in spite of their lightweight and flexible character. These are quick to install and provide flexibility thanks to the tapered edge plasterboard.

    PROS AND CONS

    Pros:

Broad Usability: Whether you're insulating a new build, renovating an old property, or upgrading your current insulation, the GA4000 is adaptable to a variety of projects.

Cost-effective: Given its thermal performance, the GA4000 offers good value for money, potentially reducing heating costs in the long run.

Durability: The PIR material ensures longevity, meaning you won't need to replace it frequently.

Space-saving: Its slim profile means you don't have to compromise much on internal space to achieve good insulation.

    Cons:

Rigidity: While the rigid structure aids in easy installation, it might not be the best fit for spaces with a lot of curves or unique angles.

Sensitivity to Prolonged Moisture: Like most PIR boards, prolonged exposure to moisture can degrade its performance. It's essential to ensure that the installation area is dry and remains so.

Limited Fire Resistance: While PIR boards have some fire resistance, they are not entirely fireproof. It's crucial to combine them with other fire-resistant materials in areas where fire safety is a concern.

    STORAGE

Celotex is a lightweight and easy to handle product. Lay flat at a cool place without letting it be exposed to moisture. Keep away from the ground.

    CERTIFICATION

Celotex possesses an A+ rating corresponding to BRE Green Guide and is certified under BBA certificate number 95/3197 and 09/4667

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is PIR material, and why is it used in insulation?

PIR, or polyisocyanurate, is a type of plastic. It's commonly used in insulation boards because of its excellent thermal performance, durability, and resistance to moisture. It's known for providing high insulation value with relatively minimal thickness.

Can I use the GA4000 for both internal and external insulation?

Yes, the Celotex GA4000 is versatile and can be used for both internal and external insulation applications, including floors, walls, and roofs.

How do I install the GA4000 insulation board?

While the rigid structure of the GA4000 makes it relatively easy to install, it's always recommended to consult with or hire a professional for installation to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Is the GA4000 insulation board eco-friendly?

Yes, the GA4000 is manufactured with a low Global Warming Potential (GWP) and has zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP), making it an environmentally conscious choice.

How does the GA4000 compare to other insulation materials in terms of thermal performance?

PIR insulation boards like the GA4000 are known for their high thermal performance. They often provide better insulation value per unit thickness compared to many other common insulation materials.

Do I need any special tools or equipment to install the GA4000?

Standard tools used for insulation, such as a sharp knife or saw for cutting and appropriate fixings for securing, should suffice. However, always refer to the manufacturer's guidelines or consult with a professional for best results.

How long does the GA4000 insulation board last?

With proper installation and maintenance, PIR insulation boards like the GA4000 can last for many years, often as long as the lifespan of the building itself.

    Is the GA4000 fireproof?

While the GA4000 has some fire-resistant properties, it's not entirely fireproof. It's essential to combine it with other fire-resistant materials in areas where fire safety is a concern.
