Insulating is a piece of cake when you're using 72.5mm Celotex PL4060 Insulated Plasterboard. This 2-in-1 insulation and drylining board meshes the low-heat transfer properties of PIR with the structural integrity of plasterboard. 

Comprising a high-performance PIR insulation board bonded to tapered edge plasterboard, the boards feature a narrow edge profile, making them better suited for either jointing or skimming. 

72.5mm Celotex PL4060 insulation can be installed in a range of building applications, from the internal side of solid masonry walls to under and between rafters and joists.

The 72.5mm refers to the overall thickness (both the insulation board (25mm) and plasterboard (12.5mm) elements bonded together). The 72.5mm Celotex PL4060 is BBA certified as a thermal laminate, and can be used in both existing domestic and non-domestic buildings. As well as providing thermal efficiency, it can also help to limit the risk of surface condensation.


72.5mm Celotex PL4060 Applications

In short, Celotex PL4000 is a high-performance plasterboard thermal laminate insulation suitable for dry-lining applications. PL4060 is purposed for use in pitched roof and wall applications in both new build and refurbishment projects. The 2-in-1 nature of PL4060 drastically reduces installation time, providing insulation and plasterboard in one operation.

You can either use mechanically fixed installation techniques or the direct bonding dot and dab method, which involves direct bonding to the masonry wall.

PL4060 can easily be used to help upgrade to current building regulation standards in:

  • Pitched roofs
  • Flat roof and wall applications
  • Internal solid wall insulation
  • The 'underneath' layer of insulation in between and under rafter and joist applications
  • Timber frame lining applications

72.5mm Celotex PL4060 Storage

The boards are supplied in polythene-wrapped packs and must be protected from prolonged exposure to sunlight and moisture. We recommend storing the boards inside, undercover and protected with opaque polythene sheeting. On top of that, the boards should be stacked flat and raised above ground level, in order to keep them nice and dry.
