- Fixed offshore installations
- MED classed ships- DTLR MCA approval
- Rated non-combustible in accordance with ISO 1182 and IMO A. 799
Rockwool Sound Insulation Slab Storage & Handling
RWA45 is a durable insulation solution which is hassle-free when it comes to cutting so you can get the best fit possible in all situations. The slabs have a soft, fibrous texture, very similar to a loaf of bread. Because of this, a serrated blade is all you need to slice through it.
When it comes to storage, we advise that you store the slabs inside; keeping them nice and dry.
Rockwool RWA45 50mm Acoustic Performance
Rockwool thermal and acoustic insulation slab is best known for its excellent acoustic performance. Rockwool respectfully thrashes competitor brands with its prevention of noise transmission from room to room, making it ideal for installation in internal and separating walls.
Rockwool RW slabs work in two distinct ways to dampen sound, either by impeding the transmission of sound through an element of the structure or by absorption of sound at the surface.
Its higher density and non-directional fibre orientation trap sound waves and deaden sound vibrations like no other insulation on the market. The open-porous structure of the fibres in RWA45 slabs grants them their incredible sound-absorbing performance, with characteristically high coefficients over a wide frequency range.
About Rockwool
Rockwool is recognised as being the market-leading acoustic insulation solution. The Rockwool sound insulation slab range offers outstanding fire, acoustic and thermal insulation properties as well as lifelong durability. The product range consists of high-quality resin bonded slabs in a variety of thicknesses and densities.
Rockwool RW slab products, either un-faced or with an aluminium foil or glass fleece on one or both surfaces, achieve an A1 classification in accordance with BS EN 13501-1 and thus meet the requirements of non-combustible materials, as defined in UK and Ireland Building Regulations.
