What Is 25mm Plywood Hardwood Faced Sheet?

25mm Structural Hardwood Faced Plywood Sheets are an adaptable choice for your construction requirements, offering strength, durability, and the ability to thrive even in damp conditions.

Hardwood faced 25mm plywood sheets feature high-quality hardwood facings combined with a lightweight softwood core. This unique composition makes them the perfect fit for construction projects that demand a high level of stability, such as flooring, walls, and ceilings.

The veneer layers used to make Structural Hardwood Plywood are typically made from hardwood such as birch, fir or eucalyptus, giving the plywood the upper hand in strength and durability over Softwood Plywood.

Moreover, these 25mm plywood sheets boast a smooth, meticulously sanded surface that provides the flexibility to paint or varnish, enabling you to achieve both artistic freedom and consistently professional finishes.

Engineered to resist moisture effectively, adhering to industry standards such as EN636-2 and EN314-2, 25mm plywood hardwood faced sheet is suitable for use in environments with high humidity levels.

WBP 25mm Plywood Explained

The term "WBP Plywood" (which stands for "Weather and Boil Proof") refers to the type of glue that is used to bond the layers of wood veneer together.

This terminology has been superseded by the EN314 and EN636 classifications, which define the bonding quality of the adhesive and the standards to which the plywood will perform.

All of our general-use hardwood birch plywood sheet materials (made from birch veneers) meet level 2 under these classifications, which means that they are suitable for use in humid conditions, and can be used outside if properly sealed.

How to Cut 25mm Plywood

A simple circular saw, or skill saw can be used to get through 25mm plywood.  With these methods, you may find it troublesome to make long and straight cuts without the guidance of a jig or a guide to keep the saw linear. However, to remedy this, you can simply clamp a board along the length of the plywood to use as guidance.
