Squash noise and get a peaceful night's sleep night after night with 100mm Knauf Earthwool Loft Roll 44 Insulation. Made using glass mineral wool and Knauf Insulation's innovative ECOSE Technology, the rolls form part of the fibreglass family and ensure excellent noise dampening within your home.

100mm Knauf Insulation Loft Roll 44 comes in partially cut (Combi-Cut) rolls for use with timber joists at 400mm or 600mm centres, or uncut as a full-width roll, helping you maximise on-site efficiency. Not only is it a wonderful sound absorber, but it also offers excellent thermal and fire performance with a thermal conductivity of 0.044 W/mK and an impressive A1 Euroclass fire rating.

100mm Knauf Earthwool Loft Roll 44 Insulation Combi-Cut Applications

Earthwool Loft Roll 44's primary use is for the thermal insulation of pitched roofs at ceiling level, although it can also be used to thermally insulate floors. These 1140mm wide short length rolls are supplied partially perforated to produce either 2 rolls 570mm wide or 3 rolls 380mm wide.

Primary Applications:

  • Pitched roofs at ceiling level
  • Floors

When used at ceiling level it is usually laid in two layers, with the first layer between the joists and the second layer over, and at right angles to the joists. A first layer will give a good enough thermal performance, but a second layer will improve the thermal resistance of the buildup even further.

The rolls are easier to install correctly than other insulants such as rigid boards because they adapt to any slight imperfections in the substrate and knit together, eliminating any air gaps.

Knauf 100mm Insulation Handling & Storage

Knauf's 100mm insulation roll is buttery soft and easy to handle thanks to its incorporation of Knauf's innovative ECOSE Technology.

The rolls are supplied in polythene packs which are designed for short term protection only. For longer-term protection on site, the product should be stored either indoors, or undercover and off the ground.
Earthwool Loft Roll 44 should not be left permanently exposed to the elements.

Knauf Earthwool 100mm Installation

Knauf Insulation Loft Roll 44 insulation is designed for installation in lofts between suspended timber floors and pitched roofs at ceiling level. Unlike insulation boards, rolls do not have facings. In most cases, you will have to install protective sheets on top of the roll to ensure its longevity.
